Chatty Cafe in Yeovil
Launched in November 2024 in partnership with Barolo Lounge, the Chatty Café in Yeovil is a brilliant example of how local businesses can come together to create meaningful change and improve lives in the local community. With 87% of attendees returning regularly, the café has quickly become a vibrant space for connection and conversation.
When I come through those doors, I get a sense of calm and relaxation. It's wonderful.
100% of those who attended more than three sessions reported feeling less lonely, showing just how powerful simple, consistent human connection can be. The Chatty Café proves that when the community collaborates, real wellbeing improvements are possible — one chat at a time.

Free Mental Health First Aid for Volunteers
During the Covid-19 pandemic, community connectors told us there was a missing piece — while volunteers were stepping up across the region, many lacked access to quality mental health training. In response, we launched our free Mental Health First Aid program for volunteers.
The course gave me the confidence to ask questions gently but without hesitation, and that opened the door to some really in-depth conversations.
100% of volunteers completing the program reported increased knowledge and confidence in having mental health conversations in the community. What began as an urgent need has become a lasting commitment.
